We don’t watch much TV, we didn’t have TV channels for over a year, until we moved in with The Mother in November…and then we came to England in January with James and there is a small TV in the flat and it gets the free local channels (mostly variations of BBC channels), so why not.
Sometimes in the evening they show CSI and NCIS, and in the afternoon Simpsons. During the day episodes of Quantaum Leap (which we love), Murder She Wrote, 60’s Batman, ect., which is awesome…and then other pap such as *gag* Dr Quinn Medicine Woman…not so awesome
Much of the remaining shows are British fare of sorts. Hours and hours of British crap.
Fuck British daytime programming. SERIOUSLY. Some of the accents of the English (they are not all the same) are so fucking annoying. And the programs are so lame, and the acting not so good. And we might lose our mind listening to British accents.
British movies, however, are another thing, we enjoy those…but we are pretty much inundated with the free programming of public television.
The nicest thing is there is almost no commercials, even when they play good stuff super late at night on weekends (Family Guy, American Dad).
Having said that if you have never seen Supersize vs. Superskinny, Embarrassing Bodies, or Body Squad…then you are missing out, while they are basic British “freak shows”, unlike American programming of similar ilk, they actually teach you stuff, which we enjoy.
At the end…British television programming…seriously…who watches that shit, we can barely listen to it most days.
The end. Guess that was a pointless rant, but whatever. It’s our rant, so we don’t further lose our mind…now…back to Octopussy…
